Aline Arman was born and raised in Zurich. She studied recorder with Prof. Matthias Weilenmann at the Zurich University of the Arts (ZHdK) and in 2013 received the Master of Arts in Music Education with honors. From 2013 – 2014 she studied postgraduate with Prof. Carsten Eckert at the University of Music and Performing Arts Vienna.
During her studies she received many inspirations from Dorothee Oberlinger, Conrad Steinmann, Kees Boeke and Andel Strube. In addition, she attended master classes with Maurice Steger and Peter Holtslag.
In addition to the performance of early music, Aline Arman is interested in interpreting contemporary compositions. She is also co-founder of the ensemble Lusciniol (vocals, recorder, baroque cello, harpsichord) and the La Merula Quartet (recorders).
Aline Arman teaches recorder at the Musikschule Konservatorium Zürich (MKZ).
